Gael has always been passionate about arts and crafts. Her work in the arts has ranged over many mediums. She has always loved the process of creating for as long as she can remember and works in many different areas including felting, textiles, mosaics and basketry.
Gael’s textile work has included everything from dressmaking, lace work, embroidery and bespoke toys. Her work in the decorative arts includes working with paper-mâché, ceramics, mosaics, hand painted eggs and also making jewellery. All the while she has maintained her drawing and painting practices. She attended art school many years ago but says she is mainly self-taught. She has sold her works privately since childhood.
Gael has a strong philosophy about the role that fine arts and crafts should play in providing a healthy and vibrant life for children and adults alike. To that end she has conducted private tuition classes from her home in Blackburn for the past 25 years.
